The Canary Islands are characterized among other things by being a volcanic region. Along the seven islands we can find several volcanoes and areas that have been formed as a result of the vestiges of what were at some point, volcanoes with activity.

Montaña Colorada – Bayuyo, Fuerteventura

Timanfaya, Lanzarote
In 1994, this volcanic region was recognized as the third protected natural area of the Canary Islands. It is also a UNESCO Natural Heritage Park since 1993.
This volcanic region is located on the island of Lanzarote, in the municipality of Yaiza and Tinajo. It is just over 51 km long. The island has evidence of very old volcanic activity, as well as recent, the last being in 1824.

The Organs, La Gomera
La Gomera is an island with endless places to visit and natural attractions, within which, Los Órganos, are one of those that can not be missed. This volcanic region is located in the town of Vallehermoso, it receives its name because its appearance resembles the pipes of the musical instrument known as organ.
It has been declared a Protected Natural Area and Natural Monument and is currently one of the main natural symbols of la Gomera Island.

Teneguía Volcano - La Palma

Roque Nublo, Gran Canaria
This volcano is located in the rural park of Nublo and is one of the biggest attractions on the island Gran Canaria. It is one of several rock formations found in the region, a product of volcanic activity in the area.
It has a total altitude of 1873 meters above sea level and a height of 80 meters from its base. To access this place, you can do it on an entertaining walk along the Roque Nublo trail, which will take approximately 40 minutes and the park has a parking service.

Teide Volcano, Tenerife
